I am thankful to be one of those people who get to paint for a career. But besides it being immensely rewarding, what it means to be an artist is not entirely clear to me just yet. Looking back on artist statements from the past is like rereading journal entries and remembering the person that you were when you felt those words.

The one constant throughout my advancement is that I see my paintings in my dreams. If I get some time in the future, I may sit down and think about why this is. For now, all I know is that I cannot not paint.
